I’m Maria — in Bolzano everyone knows me as Mary Poppinks: Mary Poppins plus “ink”. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember.

On 1 February 2022, my 20th birthday, I opened my own studio in Bolzano’s industrial district. Today you’ll find me in St. Pauls near Eppan, Unterrainer Straße 4. I draw fine lines on skin: botanical, ornamental, personal. Every piece starts from a blank page — for you, on you.

A tattoo isn’t a purchase, it’s an appointment with your skin. Here’s how it works with me — no small print.

How do I get an appointment?

My books open on a set day, at a set time — next on 6 September at 10:00. You can fill in the form right now: piece, placement, size. It stays saved here on the page, on your own device. On the day, you open the page again and one tap sends your enquiry over WhatsApp. If a slot frees up later, I pass it on in my WhatsApp group.

Does it hurt?

Honestly: a bit, yes — more or less depending on the spot. But fine line is far gentler than heavy work, and we take breaks whenever you need one. Most people say afterwards: “that was it?”

How do I prepare?

Moisturise the area well for a few days before, sleep properly, eat before you come and skip the alcohol the night before. Wear something comfortable that leaves the spot free. I’ll take care of the rest.

Is there a minimum age?

18 and over on your own. At 16 or 17 only if a parent comes along and signs at the studio — ID for both of you. A tattoo deserves a decision you’ll still stand behind at 80.

And afterwards — the aftercare?

You go home with a proper aftercare plan from me — and for the first two weeks: no sunbeds, no sauna, no swimming pool. How you look after your skin in those weeks decides how your tattoo looks in ten years.
